Buckinghamshire Council has confirmed the appointment of Zina Etheridge as its new Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service.
The decision was approved at a full council meeting on Wednesday, February 25. Zina brings extensive experience across local government, the NHS and central government, most recently serving as Chief Executive of NHS North East London, where she led a £6 billion integrated health system.
She previously held senior roles at Haringey Council, including Chief Executive, and has also worked in strategic leadership positions within the Cabinet Office.
Speaking about her appointment, Zina said she was excited to take on the role and looked forward to working with staff, members and partners to help Buckinghamshire’s communities thrive.
Council leader Steven Broadbent welcomed the appointment, describing her as an experienced leader with a strong track record of delivering transformation.
