Thames Valley Police is investigating a sexual assault and robbery in Aylesbury that may be linked to a similar incident.
The offence happened at around 12.40pm on March 19 on a footpath between Jackson Road and Aston Close.
A man in his seventies was approached by a woman who spoke with him before inappropriately touching him and stealing a gold chain.
The suspect then ran from the scene towards Autumn Close.
She is described as being of Malaysian or Thai appearance, in her early thirties, around five foot tall, wearing a black cap and a grey jogging suit.
Police say the victim was not physically injured.
Officers are treating this incident as potentially linked to another reported case earlier in April.
They are also exploring whether there could be wider connections to similar incidents elsewhere.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
