Thames Valley Police has appointed a new Assistant Chief Constable to lead counter terrorism and organised crime across the South East.

Andrew Gould officially took up the role last week.

He brings more than 27 years of policing experience, with a background in organised crime, counter terrorism and cybercrime.

ACC Gould joins from City of London Police, where he led the National Cybercrime Team.

He has also worked with the Metropolitan Police in counter terrorism roles, including leading major investigations.

In his new position, he will oversee efforts to tackle serious organised crime and terrorism across the South East region.

ACC Gould said he is looking forward to working with specialist teams and strengthening partnerships to keep communities safe.
